Another Weekend Zips by

It was another busy weekend for J-Dot and I!

On Friday night we drove out to Sherway to pick up a dress for Jessi to wear to Matthew and Lauri's wedding. She looks fantastic in it and it's one less thing to worry about over the next few weeks.

Saturday morning I had a checkup with my dental surgeon to check out my implant at 8:10 am (believe it or not I prefer it that early!). He said everything looks good and next I come back June 3rd to check it again and then I will probably book the crown procedure for a few months after that. Yay!

Jessi and I borrowed the Avalon to go out to Burlington to have brunch with Matt and Veronica. Their house looks amazing! They have a beautiful new dining room table and have been steadily reparing/touching up the rest of the place. I'm definitely very envious! They have two new kitties, Shakespeare and William. They got them from the humane society (they came with those names). They are teenaged cats and still a little skitish but are slowly getting used to their new abode.

The brunch was excellent. We cooked up some omelets and lots of bacon (bahcheck!). Jessi and I brought a fruit salad (via Dominion!) and Veronica and Matt made a great bean salad and a tomato & bocconcinni (sp?) salad. We hardly get to see them because we are all so busy. Whenever I do see them, I always feel less busy because when I mention the two projects I'm working on, Matt pulls out the eight he's got going and Veronica reiterates how she's supervising three shifts! Makes me feel much less stressed out! :)

That evening Jessi and I rented Aeon Flux which I had been keen to see. I was very disapointed with it though. The "plot" (and I use that term losely) was full of HUGE gaping holes. The living world in the film made no sense either. Every three seconds I would turn to Jessi and make a sour face. Maybe I was expecting too much from the film to begin with but I would probably give it a 5 out of 10 (only getting that much for some of the nice visuals, and no I don't mean Charlize Theron's bum!).

Sunday was Nathan David's Christening. He is Stephanie (Jessi's cousin) and Brian's second son. The service was very nice and it was good to see that side of the family again (we hadn't seen some of them since the wedding!). Afterwards we were invited to Steph and Brian's for a lunch and it was nice to visit with everyone. I chatted alot with Mathew and Lauri whose wedding is coming up very soon! This Friday is Matt's stag party and it's sure to be a blast!

Now I'm off to work for another week of the same old!
