The Cottage

I was planning on getting my photos and videos together before blogging this but it's been a crazy week. We're preparing for Sally's (Jessi's mom) 50th birthday this Sunday. We're having it at our house and it might be a bit crowded with ~25 people coming!

We had a great time at the cottage. The trip up seemed to fly by (probably because we had a cute little guy in the back seat to keep us company!). We settled in quickly at the cottage and the kitty had a great time tearing around and getting into every nook, cranny and spiderweb in the place! He was almost black on his first day! :)

The week went by far too quickly. We spent lots of time sitting in the cabin doing puzzles with the kitty (he tried to help but usually just knocked pieces onto the floor). Several dips into the lake, some badminton and a few nice walks. We also got a chance to hang out with family friend Danny and his kids Cole and Samantha. We had a blast in their pool and playing hide and seek when the power went off! :)

The rest of the trip was spent contemplating how we could make it work to live up there. Serious contenders are: buying the towns burger joint and turning it into a vegan paradise (and probably a flop!), opening/buying a bed and breakfast, striking it rich in the lottery and buying a ginormous mansion on the lake ;)........ And then we had to come back to reality. Pictures to come if I ever get a free second again! :)
