My birthday week celebrations were excellent. On Friday, Jessi and I visited riverdale farm and had a great time looking at the animals and enjoying the scenery! Jessi was thrilled to have her hand licked by baby goats. After the farm we met up with Gaby and Richard for a bite to eat at Il Fornellos Harbourfront. We had an excellent meal and a great time. For dinner we met up with Tony and Sally at the Mongolian Grill. It was really nice to eat out (twice in the same day!) since we haven't gone out since Jessi started her diet really.
Saturday I had a few people over for a small gathering. We played Trivial Pursuit 90's edition and I totally didn't win. Lame! Like whatever! On Sunday Mike and Kristin can over to game. I'm the DM for this game and I'd worked really hard on this session and I think everyone really enjoyed it. Next they're off to save the world.
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday were my stay-at-home days. I got some work done around the house and played lots and lots of video games. I also ordered the parts for a new computer (it's been over four years since I bought the one I have now and it's not performing well enough for the new games !:( ). The computer finally shipped today so it should be in Toronto before next Wednesday. Then I get to put it together! I'll post some pics when I get it all assembled! On top of the usual bells and whistles (fancy case, cool processor, bleeding edge video card) I splurged and bought a gaming keyboard. It has an LCD that updates you on your computer status while you play and the keys light up so you can play in the dark! Now I'm a real nerd!
Now I'm back to the grind (a two day week so don't feel too sorry for me!). I've been really patient waiting for my 'puter so far but now I just want it to come already!
