Niagara Falls

Jessi turned 29 this past weekend! To celebrate, we took a mini-vacay down to Niagara Falls for two nights. We left on Friday and got to the Sheraton Fallsview hotel around 4:30pm. We've stayed there several times before and really enjoy it. It's about a 5 minute drive from the main strip and it has wonderful views of the Canadian falls.

One of the things I enjoyed most about the room was the giant spa tub. Since our tub at home is about 3 inches deep and 3 feet long (one of these days I'll convert to metric, I swear!), I don't get to have baths any more. Over the course of our stay I think I had four separate baths. I haven't felt this clean in years! :)

We stayed in Friday night, ordered room service and watched some movies on TV. Saturday we enjoyed a buffet breakfast at the hotel and lounged around for hours before walking to the main strip. During our walk we scoped out dining establishments for the evening. We were disturbed by the lack of vegetarian cuisine. Usually we can at least find something that doesn't contain meat. None of the restaurants we looked at had a veggie burger or even a vegetable pasta. We finally found Tony Roma's (famous for it's ribs apparently). It was actually right next door to our hotel. Jessi had a nice garden salad (yes, the other restaurants didn't even have that) and fettuccine alfredo. It was delicious. We're definitely going to go back to Tony Roma's next time we're in the falls area.
